We don’t post friends or members of Brandy Lake who have passed but I felt Bev deserves some recognition for his life on Brandy Lake. Bev did so much for us with history.
Personally..how his dad and friends used to smash the outlet rodent dam. That must have been recorded history 60 years ago. And..how he tried to teach me to ride his horse bareback..actually that was the last time I ever sat on one, as it walked between the barn and a hydro poll with only enough room for it. He will be remembered by all that came in contact with him.
We received the below information from Johanna Geuzebroek
Beverley Elmer Kirbyson passed away yesterday, July 4th. As most of you know we was a strong supporter of the BLA and the most knowledgeable person I know about the history of Brandy Lake. Always willing to share his knowledge and passion for the lake. Always present (as far as I can remember) at BLA events: AGM and social. He will be missed.
Visitation is at the Reynolds funeral home in Bracebridge on Sat. 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 – Funeral on Sunday at the chapel at 2 p.m.
Bev was 73
