MUSKOKA RESORT AND TOURISM OFFICIAL PLAN POLICY REVIEW 

Good morning,

Following the release of the Interim Options Report, extensive public consultation was undertaken, and many comments were received from the Area Municipalities, resort representatives, lake associations and the general public. Based on a review of these comments, PKF Consulting Inc. has prepared their final recommendations report. This report will be presented to the District of Muskoka Planning and Economic Development Committee as part of its regular meeting on Monday July 15, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. in the Pine Room at the District of Muskoka administration building (70 Pine Street, Bracebridge).  The public is welcome to attend this meeting to hear the presentation. Staff are recommending that the consultant’s report be received for information and that a staff report be brought forward in the future respecting the initiation of an official plan amendment. Opportunities for public input will be available through the official plan amendment process.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions about the report or the process moving forward.  We would also appreciate you letting us know if you plan to attend the Committee meeting so that we can ensure sufficient seating is available.
